Permitting & Compliance - Water Quality Program Overview

The KSC Water Quality Program is charged with guiding the operations of KSC organizations and contractors as they pertain to Federal Clean Water Act (CWA) and State of Florida requirements. The KSC Water Quality Program roles and responsibilities include:

  • Developing KSC policies to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Providing guidance to KSC organizations and contractors on water quality issues & compliance requirements
  • Providing permitting assistance to KSC organizations and contractors
  • Assessing the applicability of proposed and promulgated regulations to KSC activities
  • Evaluating compliance of KSC operations against regulations and permits
  • Serving as KSC representative for environmental issues related to water quality
  • Interfacing with regulatory agencies through partnering efforts
