Permitting & Compliance - Waste Management - Overview
The KSC Waste Management Program is charged with guiding the operations of KSC organizations and contractors as they pertain to Federal and State of Florida waste management regulations and requirements. The KSC Waste Management Program roles and responsibilities include:
- Developing KSC policies to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Providing guidance to KSC organizations and contractors on waste management issues and compliance requirements
- Providing permitting assistance to KSC organizations and contractors
- Assessing the applicability of proposed and promulgated regulations to KSC activities
- Evaluating compliance of KSC operations against regulations and permits
- Serving as KSC representative for environmental issues related to waste management, permitting, and disposal
- Interfacing with regulatory agencies through partnering efforts
