PERMITTING & COMPLIANCE
The Permitting and Compliance Group is charged with guiding the current practices and operations of KSC organizations as they pertain to various environmental media. This is implemented by advocating the following policy criteria:
  • Develop KSC policies for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance to KSC organizations on environmental issues
  • Provide technical reviews of designs that have environmental implications
  • Serve as KSC representative for environmental issues
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of KSC’s environmental conditions
  • Coordinate workshops with operational personnel on issues related to the various environmental media
  • Interface with regulatory agencies through “Partnering” efforts
  • Perform audits of environmental media
