ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)

Kennedy Space Center's EMS Mission Statement states that Environmental Leadership is fundamental to the NASA Vision. The KSC Environmental Management System supports Environmental Leadership by providing visibility to all KSC environmental efforts in one centralized location.

The KSC Environmental Management System (EMS) is a frame work that enables the Center to increase its operating efficiency and to reduce environmental impacts associated with its activities, products, and services. EMS helps the Center systematically manage its environmental footprint by incorporating people, procedures, resources, responsibilities, and work practices to address the development, implementation, achievement, and review of the environmental policy.
